Rescued by Ruby, an American biographical drama movie based on a true story. I watched it on Netflix and still available on screen.
This story tells a state trooper who dreams of joining the K-9 search and rescue team by adopting a shelter dog named Ruby.
Ruby is curious and agile Australian Shepherd. Ruby had been surrendered to the shelter as “unmanageable”.
Daniel, a state trooper of Rhode island desperately wished to join K-9 rescue team had failed several times. He couldn't afford German shepherd due to lack of money instead he found a shelter dog named Ruby fortunately hours before being euthanized.
Due to Ruby's aggressiveness and unmanageable behavior, Dan put her to home where Ruby got homeschooling. Ruby was being taught on rescue and search classes.
At the exam before joining K-9 rescue team, Ruby passed. Therefore, Ruby sent to a home where a murder victim is meant to be.
Ruby sensed human remains, but Dan can't find them. Dan doubted and ignored the poor Ruby. At this part I literally cried. Ruby ran off during the night.
Then, Zarrella, the sergeant who examined Ruby before, told Dan the remains were found at the scene where Ruby has indicated earlier on, but buried beneath concrete.
Zarrella praised Ruby and mesmerized that Ruby caught the scent. He told Dan should have trusted his K-9 partner.
Dan missed the little Ruby, searched her everywhere, and finally found her on the street. Ruby was found.
What I learnt is how to trust ourselves when nobody does. In this movie, Dan didn't trust Ruby enough, ended up Ruby felt rejected and ran off. After he realized how he wronged and doubted Ruby, he found her again.
Sometimes, we couldn't appreciate our gifts and talents, doubt more, less believe.
But, have we ever thought how could possibly people will believe when we do not believe ourselves?
I digress a little bit, the authors of the story of Ruby were SQuire Rushnell and Louise DuArt, they're life couple.
Cited from Fox news, this couple believe that God works in mysterious ways, sometimes through dog, which why they created a series of dogwink. That statement supports my following anecdote below.
Let's find out!
My Personal Anecdote
Alright, my personal anecdote I've been figured out from Rescued by Ruby:
Dan is myself and Ruby is my intuition. Noted!
When I didn't trust my intuition, everything my intuition had told me earlier proved to be absolutely right. I used to second-guess my intuition, till it proved itself right, in many ways thousand times.
Fortunately, my intuition never run away from me. My intuition is my best partner like Dan and his K-9 partner, Ruby.
If Ruby in one time ran away from Dan because he didn't trust her, my intuition never leave me alone even though I constantly criticized it in the past.
I watched a great movie, got me cried as I remember how frequently I ignored my gut cause it sounded crazy.
No matter how irrational my intuition might be, I would listen to it, and never second-guess that all along. I will always listen to the whisper within, with time and effort, I will prove it is right, always right.
We, human beings, are powerful entities in the world as we have brain.
What makes us even more special, we have a premium feature we rarely use in our existence. We undervalue it, not realizing its potential. It is our intuition. It is the highest intelligence in the unconscious realm.
When dogs have an exceptional sense of smell, which is crucial in search and rescue operations, humans have intuition, often described as a "gut feeling" or "sixth sense" which is the ability to understand or know something immediately, without logical reasoning.
That's even more powerful!
The intuition knows without knowing. This is divine power we shouldn't ignore at all cost.
