🌸 Common Name: Great Bougainvillea 🌿 Family: Nyctaginaceae 🌍 Origin: Native to South America (Brazil, Peru, Argentina, and Bolivia) Bougainvillea is a well-known ornamental climbing plant. Everyone must be able to put they finger on it even though they do not necessarily know the name. It's that "slay" celebrity amongst flowers, dear! I swear. Oh sorry, I supposed that's too dramatic, isn't it? But I love dramatically written prose. Bear with me, I have impressive philosophy below! Bougainvillea was discovered by Philibert Commerson in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, around 1767. Who is that genius man? Well, well, we'll break down in a moment. Philibert Commerson was the botanist of Louis Antoine de Bougainville, a French naval commander and a globe circumnavigator.
